During Rental

Daily maintenance
Your vehicle shall be provided to you in a roadworthy condition. During your rental, you are responsible for ensuring that the tires, oil and coolant levels are maintained within acceptable levels. Please contact our help line in case of an extraordinary maintenance need during your rental.

In case of an incident
In case of an accident, theft or any other damage to the vehicle:

  • Inform the police immediately and have an incident report prepared;
  • Notify our help line within 24 hours of the incident and follow their instructions.

You agree to make good (and if necessary pay kolayAraba for) any and all damage or loss sustained to the vehicle and to any third party during the rental period in the event that you:

  • Fail to ensure that an Incident Report is completed and submitted to the rental company.
  • Use the vehicle for any purpose other than that for which it was supplied to you.
  • Use the vehicle to participate in any illegal activity.
  • Fail to take reasonable care of the vehicle (for example, leaving it unlocked and unattended or leaving the keys in the vehicle.

Lost keys or keys locked in the car
You must call our help line immediately in case the car keys are lost or locked in the car. We can not process your return unless the car is returned with its original keys.

Country/state border restrictions
All insurances are valid only within the borders of allowed countries. Customers will be responsible for any damages or losses to the vehicle, and transportation costs back to its rental location, in case such losses incur outside allowed boundaries.

After Rental

Please return your car to the rental location earlier at the agreed time in order to allow us sufficient time to complete the return procedures detailed below.

You must return your vehicle in the same condition as it was at the start of your rental period, subject to normal wear and tear. kolayAraba or its affiliates reserve the sole right to judge whether any damage sustained during your rental period is normal wear and tear or is chargeable under the conditions of the insurance provision.

Vehicle return
Vehicle return procedure records the return of your vehicle in our system. On return of your vehicle, a member of staff at your rental location will ask you for the following:

  • The keys to your vehicle
  • Position of the vehicle where it is parked
  • Entry ticket to parking lot if applicable
  • Any accident reports in case the vehicle has been involved in an incident

After your vehicle's return has been recorded, staff will print out a Vehicle Return Form and accompany you to your vehicle to inspect the following:

  • Odometer reading
  • Whether the vehicle is clean. In order for the vehicle to be considered clean:
    Outside: It must be evident that the vehicle has been washed shortly before returning with no traces of mud, bird droppings, excessive dust etc.;

    Inside: All garbage must be removed and interior must be cleaned including trunk and hatch areas; Ash trays must be emptied and clean; Floors, floormats, door panels and upholstery must be clean with no traces of mud, sand, hair or other stains;

Our goal is to minimize your wait. We will attempt our best to complete your return procedures within 30 minutes during normal hours and in less than an hour during our busier times. Return procedures may take longer if the vehicle needs to be cleaned in order to complete the inspection

Return time
Your vehicle must be returned during the time indicated in your rental contract. Your return will be recorded as of the time you turn in the keys to the vehicle. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept vehicle returns outside of the regular operating hours.

Late returns
In cases of late returns, a Late Return Penalty of 150 YTL applies. In addition, you will be charged for the rental period beyond your agreed return time at current prices. This penalty is a sincere estimate of the financial loss which incurs to us in finding a replacement vehicle for the next customer.

In case of any delay of arrival, we cannot keep our offices open out of working hours. To avoid penalty risk of late arrival, please keep our call center informed at least 2 hours in advance end of rental period. In other case, we can not accept it rental extension and have to apply late return penalty.

Early returns
There will be no refunds for early returns
